Product Review: Babrit Tempo R/C Electric Boat
As you can see in this video, this is a fast, nimble speedboat. It can turn VERY sharply, and it will take a few minutes to get the hang of the operation. Although it can turn sharply, it never capsized.
There is no On/Off switch on the boat--as soon as you put it in the water, it automatically powers on. Of course, there IS an On/Off switch on the R/C. When you turn that on, the boat pairs with the controller in just seconds. The top/cabin of the boat removes so that you can insert the rechargeable battery (included.) Be sure to put the top of the cabin back on securely, to keep water out.
I found the speedboat to be solidly built and durable. I know this to be true, since I crashed the boat into the rocks numerous times, but no damage was ever done. Once, I even accidentally drove entirely out of the water, onto the rocks, but nothing was damaged.
I found the running time to be LONGER than advertised--perhaps double the time advertised. Perhaps that is because I would occasionally stop the boat to setup for the next shot, or because I had to get it out of the rocks. In any case, I thought the running time was fine
Recommend that you be careful to dry out the inside of the boat after using. After operating the boat for about 15 minutes, I found that a little water had gotten inside. No harm done, but best to dry it out each time.
The User Guide is 100% in Chinese! Fortunately, you don't really need to know much to operate this product.
So all in all, I thought this was an excellent product. The controls worked well, and the boat was a blast to operate. Definitely one of the funnest R/C toys I have used. The set also comes with a rack that is easily assembled to display the boat when not in use. But next time, write the User Guide in English!
